About 8 months ago, I owned 2 dedicated servers and 1 vps. Since then I downgraded to 3 vps from Servint. My traffic was dropping like a rock and I had no need for two dedicated servers. Well, with the exception of about 2-3 of my sites, traffic is still down so I’ve decided to merge all my sites on to two VPS to save money. I can also purchase another one in the future if I need to.

Transferring my websites was extremely easy. Using the Account transfer tool in WHM, you can move an entire site (including the databases) in a minute. All you need is the IP address, domain, and account password. Pimp Myspace was my largest site at around 12 Gig, and it only took about 7 minutes to transfer the entire thing. I didn’t have to download/upload the files or log into phpmyadmin to export the database. WebHostManager does it all for you with the click of a mouse.

So I’m letting the DNS propagate for a few days and then I will be canceling the VPS.
