Update: Though I have had no issues with them, I have read several complaints about this website (including those in the comments here). So please use them at your own risk.
The following is a sponsored review.
I bet you thought banner exchange industry was dead? We all remember them from the late 90s… it was all the craze. But actually, there are several banner exchange websites still around, providing an excellent Internet Marketing service. Most of the banner exchanges I see these days are on online arcades or flash game sites. They do extremely well in that niche. But there’s no reason why it can’t be successful in all niches.
1800Banners.com is resurrecting the term ‘banner exchange’ and providing an efficient way for you to increase traffic to your site. When you join 1800banners, you will be able to add a banner to your website and earn free advertising on other publishers’ sites.
In addition to bringing traffic to your site, you can also earn money from it with their revenue share program. Earn up to $0.25 CPM and $0.15 per click! Once you open your free account, you can apply for revenue sharing. Once approved you will be able to sell your credits/earnings back to the network, you will also earn cash on a CPC basis.
They also are launching a new Webmaster Forum where members can earn points by posting and viewing threads. You can then turn those points into credits to buy more banner space.
I think this is a great website for people trying to increase their brand awareness or get started in a new niche. Building that initial flow of traffic can be tough. Give banner exchanges a shot.

41800banners.com is by far the best IF you like to be scammed.
I’ve proven to myself that their operation is a total scam. I put their code for a 468X60 banner on a website of mine that also has google analytics on it. Google said I got 54 total pageviews on day one… 1800banners gave me 179 credits. I’m supposed to be earning 1 credit for every 2 banners I show so I should have gotten 27 credits… not 179.
I had similiar results for the next 6 days that I left their code on my website.
It’s clear to me that 1800banners is inflating their numbers at least 5 times what they really are.
Which made me wonder… are they inflating the click-thrus too.
So I put their code back on my website to find out.
My investigation showed that they reported 464 click-thru’s during the next 10 days… however, my own tracking software reported 3 click-thru’s.
So, yes they are the best… at scamming.
I wonder if they inflate the numbers so they can say “10 million banners served daily” or if they do it to scam people out of their hard earned money… or if their system is really broken… and their webmaster is just too stupid to fix it?

5“1800banners gave me 179 credits. I’m supposed to be earning 1 credit for every 2 banners I show so I should have gotten 27 credits… not 179.”
1800banners ads rotate every 60 seconds, this is why you earn more credits.. More ads are displayed to each visitor on your site, which increases the likely hood of a click-through as well.
as far as the click through issue did you contact them? that might be a bug cuz we track clicks as well and get around 60% or so according to our stats of what 1800 shows.

6Oh yah.. you know it might be? a few months ago they changed something.. the click referrers URL come from and IP address now and not “1800banners.com”, I contact them and asked about this and they said they had a reseller system going on and that they needed the referrer to not show there site at the request of there resellers.. If you roll over the banners now you see an IP address as well instead of there domain.

9I think 1800banners is fairly accurate on the clicks I’ve used a couple of different stats programs like google analytics and others (all give close, but not exactly the same results) and get numbers close to the same as 1800banners on the click thrus. However, having said that, as for the impressions/credits hard to tell if the are delivering as many as they say have had really mixed results with that, sometimes I think they have people in China and Russia clicking on stuff for them. Where I will say they suck horribly bad is customer service. Very slow response if any at best. They may fix something a day or two after your email and never let you kow back. I was a long time paying customer, but never got the bonus credits you are suppose to get when I caught it after about 6 months I got some credits when I caught support online, but then the next month same thing and no response to support email, then a month later still not resolved and another email to support with no response and no resolution. So I cancelled my account. Apparently 6 months later they are still going strong and I don’t know if they have fixed the bug yet. So overall I would NOT reccoment them, #1 reason customer support. #2 reason, the return on investment was a loss.

10BIG SCAM!!!!
You are warned NEVER use them. They have like 99% of your money share.
I advertised around 80 Million credits over the past few months, they sell those for over 2500$
guess how much they gave me? 1.2$!!!!!!!!! After contacting them they said its their ecpm and no valid reason!
publishers avoid them, seriously.
advertisers, go find something more cheap and more respected and trusted.

13So, i just said i was going to try it, i did… dat was half hour ago and i purchased 25,000 credits equivalent to half as many impressions. I assigned 10,000 credits (5000 impressions) to one banner, and in less than 5 minutes that banner consumed the 15,000 credits in addition to 11,168 credits that WASN’T assigned! So after those few minutes they are basically trying to say that my banner showed up 10,584 times and thus the credit balance on this campaign was -11,168! Of those thousands of impressions, there were 4 different “clicks” which from my records came from 4 sources with the same “system” statistics bcz I track details of all my campaigns! Statistics refer to IP address, host, user agent etc, and the md5 hash [of string combination of these stats] for all 4 clicks were the SAME. I was really hoping that this service would be as good as I heard! Very disappointed!!!! I don’t kno if to call it a scam or what I usually giv ppl the benefit of the doubt but I will hav to have a talk with them bcz it doesn’t addup. Adwords is one of the biggest ad campaigns and they don’t show your ad 11,000 times in a few minutes with 4 clicks!!!!!!!

15I have been using 1800 banners for a number of months. Very little traffic was generated through the free banner exchange.
I decided to try one of their plans ( $39.99 ) – 500,000 credits and 100 clicks. It was worth a try, but sadly it’s a complete fraud.
Pretty much all of the traffic generated is from some bot or script, and not real people. I have been researching the traffic sent via 1800 banners and it’s obvious these clicks are auto-generated.
I’ve been in contact with Zalak, and while he did respond quickly to my concerns and inquiries, he was unable ( or unwilling ) to explain the auto-generated traffic, which leads me to believe he is completely aware of the problem ( intentional or otherwise ) and refuses to do anything about it.
I did not request a refund but I will certainly not use this service again.
The free program ( banner exchange ), although not likely to bring in a lot of traffic, at least does generate actual visitors who browse your website.
Do not pay this company anything ( do not subscribe ) – use the free service instead if you’re going to use it at all.

20I just started using these guys last week and have had very good results for 3 websites. My only complaint so far is that there is a banner that I do not want showing on my sites, and though I added it’s ID into my “block” list, it is still showing. I have contacted support for info. But traffic has been improved by 100% and sales and newsletter signups have increased as well.

22The banners that are shown on my site cause pop ups and trojans and the majority of the traffic seems to come from India. I would avoid this exchange.
There is a nice site that has more reliable free traffic at http://www.myfreetraffic.info

27I justed tried http://www.banneradexchange.net and its seems to be working but slowly not like 1800 banners that use all your credits in a few minutes.
I’ve bought 500,000 credits for $55.00 thats $0.11 per 1000.
