Selling and buying these days has been much tougher. First off the buyers are trying to turn a quick profit and not build sites, and those who want to build sites really don't want to buy the garbage that are on places like Digital Point which I used to frequent regularly now not very often. When I did sell my blogs I was lucky enough to find a trustworthy buyer, most of the time those are hard to come by.

Hi David,

I agree. I have built, ran, bought, and sold websites since 2000. You used to be able to go on Ebay.com ad even find a diamond in a rough. Last time I listed on SitePoint.com I got cursed out because I was my selling price did not match my profits!!!

The problem is everyone & their brother thinks they are a web guru and does not understand the value of hard work. They do not understand that building a profitable website is actually building an "Internet Business."

The only place I find consistent sites (50/50) is www.BuySellWebsite.com. Our company has carved out a little niche with finding crappy sites with traffic & potential and re-designing the website & business.

I've still got a few more sites to sell, if you want me to keep you posted I will.
