Really like the way you lay it out David. Seems like you have a good handle on how to go about achieving your goals. Inspiring.

My theory is the Adsense spot is better than nothing. You might offer a banner that can be sold their in place of the adsense block but leave adsense there until someone buys it.

I'm curious -- what's the split of your traffic like in terms of referrals/search/direct?

Also something to keep in mind about TLA -- people seem to stay on for whatever rate they signed up for. So if they buy 6mos @ $20/mo, and one month later your rate goes from $20/link to $50/link, you'll still only be making $10/mo (1/2 of $20/mo) each from them.

It's something that's definitely bit me... Right now I've got my inventory filled out, but beacuse of when people bought it, I'm making $250/mo -- when I should be making around $360/mo

I don't know if AdSense is going to be worth its spot on a webmaster blog (except on select posts with SE traffic, like the myspace one). To get additional revenue, maybe you could work some affiliate links into your posts as recommendations.

You could also try selling multiple, smaller banners (like ProBlogger) instead of a single large skyscraper. And, as you said, ReviewMe/PPP could provide a nice boost. Just make sure you keep the ratio of paid content to natural content kind of low.

Good luck with your goals!
