I've had sites that had no activity for over a year, and once I had time for them they picked up nicely. You have a lot of sunk costs already in the site. Not to mention the fact that domains that keep an accessible site get better with age whether they are updated of not. I think the design is fine. Whether you change it or not is more about what you think than other people think. I read the comment of the guy who criticized it. The design is fine, but it wouldn't win any awards for originality either. Maybe it could use some graphics to liven it up. Though I think that's beside the point. First, I think the best thing about this site is that it's user generated content. So maintainance is minimal. Second, get more backlinks. Third, GET MORE BACKLINKS! haha. Fourth, monetize it. So what if it doesn't make much. It's a metric to help you measure progress. Sometimes you need that to keep your interest. That's my 2 cents. You may not agree.
