You are absolutely correct. Since I am in SEO , my clients chase me always for edu links and they even ready to pay more than 100 bucks per month for a link.

Sounds interesting – I’ve heard a lot of people talking about the extra value of .edu and .gov links – but I really haven’t seen any proof.

If you want to make your little project more successful just make sure you get the pages on Google quickly. Because if Google can’t find the pages there isn’t much SEO value in those links

I currently go to UCSB (University of California, Santa Barbara) and I didn’t know anything about this .edu thing helping out with your ranking for seo. I think I might try this with my free space I get with being a student at UCSB. I don’t know how long it lasts after I graduate but it would be interesting to see how much it helps out my blog, because I am new to blogging.

How long before Florida closes your account? I know Grand Valley’s general policy is webspace within 30 days of graduation, and email within 90.
