[...] Friday I posted the secret to making money online. What kind of person would I be if I didn’t follow my own advice? It only seemed logical that I start adding new content to the site that makes me the most money, Pimp Myspace. I wish my best earning site wasn’t a Myspace resource site, but what can you do? It makes me about $20/day so it will be hard to top that with another site I have. [...]

To Webologist. You should be adding more than new page a week. In my opinion, you should be adding at least three. However, if you're running a blog, posting every day is the best, but if you have to wait, then every at day.

I also spend too much time checking my stats, adsense, traffic, etc. This week I've been checking them less as I have deadlines to meet with some of my projects, and I have been far more productive.

Yep, content is king. Funny post though, I was reading it in the hope that some useful little bit of information that had somehow remained hidden to me previously would be revealed. But content is everything.

One way to look at it, is that if you add just one good quality page to your site each week, written by you, or written specifically for you site (i.e. unique content) then in 10 years you will have 500 good quality pages, which should with any luck be a good investment.

I consider making money out of websites a long term goal. Very few businesses make money in the first years of operation. Think long term, ensure your site stays "White Hat", has good content, and people will link to it, and you'll rise in popularity and eventually be a profitable business.

hehe, nice tip... and so true. I used to spend way too much time checking stats - but I try to minimize that now. I have the AdSense notifier add-on for Firefox so I don't have to log in every hour - I get live updates every 20 minutes ;) And I usually only check StatCounter if there is something special I want to check out (like where a sale came from, etc.)
