I give a lot of credit to anyone who can build a forum from scratch on a shoestring budget and build it to a solid membership of over 1000 people in just a few months time. I am starting to remember now why I sold JaxForum so many months ago. The time and effort put into a forum is just not rewarded like it is on a normal content site (at least not right away). I put hours and hours a day into Historum but no matter what I do, I can’t seem to take it to the next level. I read all the tips and suggestions on how to promote forums and create interest. But nothing is working. Maybe my forum category is just too hard. I don’t have a forum that is geared towards teens and people who are on the internet all day.

When do you figure enough is enough? At what point in a forums life is it not worth the amount of time you put into it? These are questions I’ve begun to ask myself. Is my time better spent building some unique content sites rather than scouring the internet for topics I can post on my forum? These are tough times indeed.

I do have some good news though. I have earned about $46 from Adsense in the last 7 days. That is amazing to me. That puts me at almost $200/month from Adsense alone. And the thing is, I don’t really have one big money maker. Fight Song Lyrics constantly brings in a couple bucks a day, but the rest of the money is spread out through a bunch of smaller sites that aren’t quite as developed.

I really want to have an awesome, unique site that updates on a daily basis and has 1000 uniques a day. I can’t imagine ever reaching the 1,000 uniques/day for one site. That would be a HUGE milestone for me. If anyone has any ideas, let me know!

I can not officially change my monthly earnings on the right side just yet. I have been house sitting for my parents this past week and haven’t been at home to access my income statement and revenue reports. However, I can list out some of my sales and earnings for you.

A pretty good month for me. Although I wouldn’t expect most months to be that high because I don’t always have so many site sales.
